Sandpoint Cancer Relay for Life

Circle of Life is a great way to describe what will unfold at the Cancer Relay for Life tonight at the Bonner County Fairgrounds.  Teams will walk in a huge circle for 16 hours to raise funds and awareness and put a face on cancer in our community.   As the Emcee and Deejay every year I have a ringside seat to witness the prayers, the passion, the hope, the remembrance, and the support on the faces and in the actions of our friends and neighbors.   I am asking you to make time to come to the event.  The schedule follows.  You do not have to come and connect with a cancer story.  You can show up and connect to your community.   If you and your wife have been married 12 years and have not had any serious medical challenges in your life, then come to the fairgrounds, hold hands, walk 12 laps and show your support.   If you have four kids at home that are healthy, bring them to the fairgrounds and have the family walk around the circle four times for each member of the family and show your support.  Use the time to reflect on the blessings in your life, to educate your kids about life’s unexpected challenges, to affirm your love for each other.   Whatever burdens you and your spouse will feel like nothing after you spend some time in the circle of life.   Hakuna Matata baby.   See ya at the Fairgrounds.
