Sandpoint, Idaho is home to an incredibly talented sophomore soccer talent named Tanner Williams and propelled by a supportive community he may be on his way to Argentina as a member of the United States Region IV Olympic Development Team (ODT). Last night 200 Sandpoint High School students crammed the community
hall to raise nearly a thousand dollars to send our first ever representative from Sandpoint, Idaho to this level of sports competition in soccer. It is fitting that he play in the Argentina Soccer Tour since their number one sports passion is soccer and Argentina’s national soccer team is a 2-time FIFA winner and brought home the Olympic Gold once. Tanner is ready to tango with the best of the best and fundraisers like the one last night are necessary to pay for travel expenses and sustain his bid.
