Huckleberry cheesecake, fine wines, cowboy storyteller, barbequed ribs, saddles, friends, and a crown fit for a princess was all part of Miss Rodeo Idaho coronation ceremonies held at the landmark Western Pleasure Guest Ranch on Saturday, January 24, 2009! Sandpoint’s very own Freya Ford is Miss Rodeo Idaho for 2009 and what an outstanding young woman to represent Idaho. I have known Freya since she was a quiet horse-loving kid that hung out on my Mom’s dock with Johnny Boy, Cherie, and the rest of the kids that love swimming in Lake Pend Oreille. I cheered her on with the rest of the participants in the Junior Miss Scholarship program, clapped when she rode by in all the 4th of July parades, and was emceeing the Rally in the Valley when she rode with Idaho Governor C.
