The Super Sandpoint Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt 2009
Bashful Dan Young and Alex the Tigerboy agree! It was an egg-citing morning as the Sandpoint, Idaho Lions Club produced another roaring success at the Lakeview Park Easter Egg Hunt today. Hundreds of kids scrambled for the colorful prizes as their families egged them on! Bashful Bunny (Dan Young) and
his just turned 9 year old son Alex (Super Bunny) mugged for the camera with the happy children. “It’s an enjoyful day” said Alex the Super Bunny who was
wearing the new upgraded costume his Mom sewed, complete with cape. “When Alex was 5 years old he was very excited to learn that his Dad was the real Easter Bunny and last year he decided that he wanted to help entertain the kids instead of going for the eggs”. This year he is planning on doing both. The annual event sponsored by the Sandpoint Lions Club is always well attended and this year was no different as you could see the joy and smiles on all the kids faces. The pictures are on Facebook and I will have a direct link to an album tomorrow (Sunday). The pictures are free and just a way for us to all enjoy this wonderful event that the Lions Club puts on for the kids year after year. They definitely live up to their motto: “We Serve”. Now if we can just find a way to stop Della Kenworthy, Sandpoint Lions, from treating the Bashful Bunny like her favorite stuffed animal …
We started editing photos at 11:10 a.m. and finished at 5:10 p.m. and are posting them on Facebook at 6:30 pm. You have to join but its really fast and simple and the pictures are free!

You’ll be lucky if Della doesn’t shake and bake our favorite bunny
Thank you for making the Easter egg hunt so much fun and the pictures are great. Meyerson did not know that Bashful Dan was also the easter bunny but Mason recognized you right away because of Alex. No sunshine but, hey, no rain until after the cars were loaded. See you at Cedar Hills tomorrow. Happy Easter.
Thank you for posting the pictures. We are sending them to the Grandparents tonight (just in time for Easter).
Your son is really cute!
I like the picture of you with my little sister and brother and it reminds me of the pics from lost in 50’s that I have from like 12 yrs ago when I was little. It seems liek you are always part of everythig in this town and now that I am in college looking back I can’t imagine how many memories you are a part of. Speaking of lost in 50s I will be home and look you up.
Good Morning Dan
Thank you for posting your pictures where TJ’s family can see them today. What a wonderful Easter gift for my parents to see their grandson having so much fun at the egg-dash. This was our third time and we are amazed and thankful to the Sandpoint Lions Club for all their hard work to create this remarkable and memorable experience for the children and families of our community. We are also happy to know that Sandpoint has its very own Easter Bunny and little bunny foo foo.

I bet Lion Della Kenworthy thinks you are funny and laughed so hard when she read what you posed on here… She has a great sense of humor.. but I do have to say.. she does like rabbit for dinner…
