Bashful Dan

Why not try?   Sandpoint, Idaho is home to an incredibly talented sophomore soccer talent named Tanner Williams and propelled by a supportive community he may be on his way to Argentina as a member of the United States Region IV Olympic Development Team (ODT).   Last night 200 Sandpoint High School students crammed the community hall to raise nearly a thousand dollars to send our first ever representative from Sandpoint, Idaho to this level of sports competition in soccer.  It is fitting that he play in the Argentina Soccer Tour since their number one sports passion is soccer and Argentina’s national soccer team is a 2-time FIFA winner and brought home the Olympic Gold once.  Tanner is ready to tango with the best of the best and fundraisers like the one last night are necessary to pay for travel expenses and sustain his bid.   Last night Tanner Williams proved that some of his best moves are on the dance floor and not the soccer field.  Sandpoint High School students deejayed the event and Bashful Dan provided the commercial sound and light show.   Tanner Williams has a genuine shot at being named one of the 18 top soccer players in his age group in America.   Here is an outstanding opportunity to support a hardworking athlete, serious student, and young man who possesses an uncommon amount of character at an early age.  His success and the way he conducts himself is a terrific example to peers and he is worthy of this community helping to make his dream come true knowing that we can all share in his accomplishments.  I thanked his parents for sharing their son with us and allowing us to help raise expense funds.  Tanner Williams story is one we can all point to with pride and shows that with determination and hard work all things are possible!   If you are able and would like to help out with expenses you can send money to: Sandpoint Strikers, Attn: Tanner to Argentina, P.O.
