Bonner County Adult Day Care Center
This is important. How do caregivers get a break? One out of four of us are the sandwich generation. We are raising our children and one of our parents is living with us too. The adult day care center provides a wonderful spot for our older Americans to relax and enjoy the company of peers while the caregivers take a time out. About half of the twenty thousand dollars needed has been raised an nearly all the furniture has been donated. Right now the BADC needs money and a sponsor.
Sponsor could be a 501(c)(3), someone from the Health industry, private individual or company. The sponsor would handle accounting, payroll, approve operations and business plans, and be responsible for hiring BADC employees. They do have to spend their own money and the day to day operations are the responsibility of staff members.
Money. Make your check payable to: Area Agency on Aging and on the memo line: Bonner Adult Day Care Center. After you write the check, drop it off at the Senior Center at 820 West Main Street or you can swing into the parking lot at Rainbow Realty in downtown Sandpoint on the corner of Pine Street and Third Avenue and we will take it to the Senior Center for you. For more details on how you can sponsor or support the BADC call Esther Gilchrist at (208) 263-0569.
