Fly Like An Eagle

It’s been a long time since the First Eagle Scout and now two young men, Kyle Garry Ferguson and Sage Avery Haight are prepared to forever be a part of one of America’s most respected fraternity when they complete the Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Camp Stidwell (Mirror Lake) near Sandpoint, Idaho. Troop 111 will gather to honor these two outstanding young men knowing how hard they have worked in positions of community service and leadership and are among the less than four percent of Scouts who achieve the rank of Eagle. Words fail to describe the leaders, mentors, family and friends that surrounded them during their years in Scouting. I am so proud that Sandpoint has women and men that step up to the plate and provide what is needed to support an organization for young boys that dares to talk about God and Honor in the same breath.

Congratulations to Troop 111, Scout Leaders, parents and family for your continued support and encouragement that has resulted in two more champions of American youth who will serve their community and their country well. I will be out of town on your special day but I deeply appreciate your invitation to attend this milestone event in your lives and I promise that for the rest of your lives, you can count on Bashful Dan Young being one of your biggest fans! The Boy Scouts of America rock!
