Hazel Hall Healing Childrens Garden
Hazel Hall Children’s Garden next to Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint, Idaho is about to enter Phase I of construction and the first fund raiser is today at 1:00 pm. The Healing Garden is one
of northern Idaho’s most beautiful and sacred creations with the main ingredient being love. Every hand that shaped this slice of heaven has a story about restoration, redemption, remembering, and about a place that is shared by sorrow and joy. Spiritual leaders in Sandpoint like Pastor Steve Neuder have comforted people in times of loss and participated in new beginnings like when he married my nephew. Bonner County Sandpoint Community Hospice volunteers have witnessed the comfort provided within the garden and it’s chapel. Janet Hanson wrote a great story for Lon Woodbury’s NorthwestRural.com three years ago that captures so much of the purpose of the Healing Garden. Here are the exciting events for today beginning at 1:00 pm (Saturday). Silent Auction, a buffet-tea, and a spring plant sale, plus an artists rendering of the children’s garden will be on display. There will be five exquisite table settings, each with a different theme, and put together by committee chairman, Linda Plaster who apparently has a magical gift. Christine Bottenfield took lots of pictures today and they will be posted to the new album at:
