A Good Turn

This years Blue & Gold Breakfast Fundraiser for the Boy Scouts of America will be the best one ever! It costs over one hundred dollars for basic expenses for each cub scout and boy scout. A small price to pay for an organization that talks about “honor” and “God”. This year it will be held May 15, 2008 at the Idaho Club. If you have $150 and would like to join my table please call me at 290-2249. BSA took a good turn in our area with the recent addition of Anna Shuster as District Executive for the Inland Northwest Council for the Boy Scouts of America.

Did you know that many of the young men in scouting now reach the rank of Eagle Scout by the end of 8th grade? I have sat on the Eagle Scout Review Board for a couple years in Sandpoint and we have some truly impressive scouts. The Eagle award is the only one that Boy Scouts can wear after they leave scouting. The Eagle award recipient has a distinction that follows him through a lifetime. Call me to join my table or to sponsor one for your company, coworkers, or organization. Our entire community benefits from scouting and the local leaders deserve our overwhelming support for their time, skill, and dedication to our youth.
