Make a Point
…about Sandpoint. I just got told once again how one person can’t do it all. I get it. It’s another way to say “many hands make light work” or it’s another way to say that some task is far too daunting to take it on. Well, excuse me for disagreeing. If we had to solve every problem that “might” arise before we could start - we would never start anything. That applies to everything americans do from cleaning their cars to reaching for the stars. I do believe one person, every single one of us, can make a difference. We prove it all over this community every day. What does Alice accomplish for the food bank, what does Verna’s group do for wishing star, what does Corky do for the human spirit, what did Lora do for the uninsured, who makes 36 thousand meals and home delivers over 20 thousand, and so on and so on. Every one of us makes a difference and that’s the point about Sandpoint. We have a spirit of volunteerism in our churches, small groups, clubs, organizations, youth, seniors, and so on that should be filling us with a spirit that anything is possible. There are miracles that occur every day in our little town. We just need to find what we love and participate. I know you are there and I know you participate because I have been there with you in many cases.
